Twiga Vision Tanzania is a non-profit, non-governmental and non-political charity organization that was created by local individuals to deal with various issues facing Tanzanian local communities. The organization primarily works for women, young people and children from difficult social and economic backgrounds. The charity supports women with children in developing a perspective in Tanzanian society, becoming more independent and starting a professional career without neglecting their children. While the women are given advice on work and self-employment, the children are given the opportunity to go to school.
Young people are provided with life skills’ education that enables them to become good citizens as well as becoming responsible members of the community. On top of that they get to learn some business skills as well as learning handcraft work.
Our vision is to enable local communities to achieve individual and collective goals with regards to essential life skills such as food, health, education and settlements.
Our mission is to provide sustainable development to local Tanzanian communities.
Promote education, combat poverty, improve health, raise self-awareness and self-esteem.
In particular the more disadvantaged members of society such as single mothers and those living in extreme poverty.
The Twiga Foundation was founded in 2013 by Daniphord Mwajah, a social worker with a big heart for people in need.
The organization has been engaging in several programs including secondary school youth programs and business training for marginalized women as well as providing the women with small business loans.
The best way to empower anyone is to give them education.
To give an education to a child or a young person who wouldn't otherwise get one is an incredible gift you will ever give.
